Open year round, the Gardens are a great place to visit to enjoy nature and observe the seasonal colors as different plants bloom during their season. Take an early morning walk. Invite friends to join you for a picnic at the pavilion. Bring your kids to enjoy the Children’s garden. On a cold windy day, enjoy the warmth and beauty in the Coleman Tropical House.

Wings of Wonder, a seasonal butterfly house, is an 1800 sq ft screened structure containing approximately 500 native butterflies. It is open from April through October of each year. Group and school tours are available. Butterfly birthday packages available..

Throughout the year, there are several annual events which have become a Wiregrass area tradition. Many additional events are listed on the event list.

Did you know that the Hanahan Daylily Garden at DABG has been recognized as an official “Display Garden” by the American Daylily Society. Only 330 Daylily Gardens across the U.S., parts of Canada, and Europe have achieved this designation. There’s much more to see.

The DABG Camellia Garden has qualified for listing on the American Camellia Trail. The American Camellia Trail is a nationally recognized listing of public gardens with significant camellia collections in the Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Coast Regions of the United States. The DABG camellia collection consist of 80 different camellias, several of which were developed right here in Dothan.
